Is there a more Aussie sound (\u003cem\u003ewell there are lots but this is one of the favs\u003c\/em\u003e).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThey are the largest of the Kingfishers and can live to over 15 years old. They are carnivorous and play a part in the ecosystem controlling small animal populations.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhy Brooches ?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSo it's a thing again right !  Brooches have come a long way since the Cameo your grandma used to wear.  And a lot of people aren't getting their ears pierced these days...so...\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEnter the modern era of the must-have accessory.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eYep - the BROOCH IS BACK baby and it's funkier than ever !\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter quite a few enquiries in the shop as to whether we carry brooches, well let's just say \"challenge accepted !\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI put on my design hat, and over the next few months created my own take on the once humble brooch, a range of beautiful, colourful and (if I don't say so myself) pretty stylish yet fun brooches featuring Australian Flora and Fauna (and a few other plants and animals that I couldn't resist).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAnd you know what...I have actually started wearing them myself and I must say I am starting to feel a bit naked without one.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe designs are cut on our own own laser cutter out of Australian made 'no-nasties' ply and locally sourced glitter acrylic.  They are then handpainted, hand dome cast using Australian made plant based bio-resin.
