My artwork explores themes of social connection, the joys of friendship, communication and human interaction in day-to-day living.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEach artwork has been hand-built starting from raw clay, and put through at least two firings, first to around 960-1000°C, and finally to stoneware at 1280°C. Figures have been scribed directly into the wet clay and textures added before the first firing. The postures and expressions of the figures evolve as I build the images using underglazes.
